" My interest is in the future because I'm going to be spending the rest of my life there." --- Charles Kettering
I couldn't have said that better myself. I am thinking about streets of gold and gates of pearl. That is where I am planning on living for eternity. I plan on loading up as many on that train, as I can. The legendary Eva Cassidy sings this with such emotion. Reat in peace, Dear Heart!
Ohh people get ready There's a train a-coming You don't need no baggage You just get on board All you need is faith To hear diesels a- humming You don't need no ticket You just thank the Lord Yeah yeah yeah
Hi Eve, Thanks for praying for my neighbor, and for all you comments on my blog. It really means a lot to me! Your blog is such a help to me. Love, Debra
I love Eva Cassidy...one of my favorite singers...not only her songs, her voice, but her life story! Thanks so much for sharing this video! What a lovely blog you have!!
Hi Eve. Thanks for visiting my blog. The colored corn in the picture is colored popcorn. It used to come in a bag, that is the green, and other colors in the rooster. I don't know if you can still buy this, I am thinking you can. Hope that helps.
What a great singer---I love the song, and love Curtis Mayfield singing it too.... One thing I've always found disturbing, though, is the line [in talking about the train]: "There ain't no room for the hopeless sinner..." because on the train I'm riding on, there's GOT to be room for the hopeless sinner....
I have three cats,,two boys and a girl and a little, eleven year old mixed dog named Solo. That's my little
girl, Meshe in the pic..She is much prettier than I am, so I chose her for my pic. I also have a very nice DH named Billy. He's a keeper.

heartafire,,,I think the lyrics are talking about those who failed to get saved. The unbelievers.
